Chef Oscar has run The Phantom cafe, a pop up restaurant, throughout Mendocino County, and many points beyond, for over 25 years. Starting in her native New England, Chef Oscar cooked her way across the country, smashing many a glass ceiling in food service, settling in the Northwest in 1979. She opened the first commercial kitchen north of San Francisco in 1991, where she developed the famous Oscar's Basil dressing, and an award winning Salsa. She has taught Culinary Arts at the local High School, owned four restaurants, and has a successful catering company that has serviced every event from a suprise wedding for 8 on the Headlands, to a three day party for 790. "Come one come all, make sure you're hungry."
